While you probably don't need another reason to warn patients that indoor tanning is a dangerous pastime, an article published online this week in the Archives of Dermatology offers a horrifying cautionary tale to add to the mix.

Dr. Jeffrey Travers and his dermatology colleagues at the Indiana University School of Medicine reported on the case of a 22-year-old woman who presented to their hospital with a 2-day history of burning and blistering skin, "including involvement of oral, ocular, and vaginal mucosa."
